A help center for your SaaS that your customers and your bot both use
Write each answer once. Roper publishes it as a searchable help-center article for your customers and uses the same article for the bot's cited answers.

The short answer
Every Roper workspace has a public help center with search and categories, at its own address. You write articles in the inbox (title, category, body, published or draft). The same published articles are what the chat widget searches and what the AI answers from, so the help center and the bot never disagree. It is included in every plan, with no per-article or per-visitor fees.
Roper is made by the team that wrote this post. Figures for other tools come from their own public pages, listed under Sources, and are list prices in US dollars that can change.
What you get
- A public help center at
/w/<your-slug>/help, branded with your name, logo and accent colour, with your chat widget on every page. - Search and categories so customers find an answer without opening a chat.
- An article editor in the inbox with title, category, a simple formatted body and a published flag. Drafts stay private.
- One source for the bot. The widget's Home tab searches the help center, and the AI answers only from published articles, with links to the ones it used.
- No extra price. The help center is part of Pro and Team.
How it saves you time
- A customer asks a question and you answer it in the inbox.
- You see the same question a second time. You write it as an article and reply with its link.
- The next customer finds it through search or the bot answers it from the article. It never reaches you.
This loop, answer once then publish, is the main way support shrinks as you grow. See how to reduce support tickets and help center vs knowledge base vs FAQ.
Writing articles that work for people and the bot
- Title each article with the question as a customer would phrase it.
- Answer in the first paragraph, then add steps or detail.
- One topic per article. A page that covers five things answers none of them well.
- Put exact steps, names and limits in the text. The bot cannot cite what the article does not say.
- Review and update on a fixed day each month. A wrong price or old menu name is worse than no article.
Starting points are in the help center article template.
What it does not do
- It does not use your own domain yet (for example help.yourapp.com). Pages live on your Roper workspace address.
- The "Powered by Roper" credit appears on public pages.
- It is not a full documentation platform: no versioned docs, API reference generator or multi-language switcher.
- No promise of search ranking. Whether Google shows your articles depends on your content and how you link to the help center.

Questions
Common questions
- Is the help center included in the plan?
- Yes. Both Pro ($19 a month) and Team include a public help center, with search and categories.
- Can the bot answer from articles I haven't published?
- No. Only published articles are searched and used for answers. Drafts stay private.
- Can I use my own domain?
- Not yet. The help center lives on your Roper workspace address, and custom domains are not built.
- What is the difference between a help center, a knowledge base and an FAQ?
- A help center is the public, searchable site for customers; a knowledge base is the broader collection of answers (public or internal); an FAQ is a short list of the most common questions. Roper's help center is the public one. See help center vs knowledge base vs FAQ.
- Can I add images or code?
- Articles use a simple formatted body. For anything unusual, test how it renders on your sample help center before publishing.
